A message from the Meldreth, Shepreth and Foxton Rail User Group

Changes to Rail Services from 6th September
Dear Melbourn,
GTR have notified us of changes to our rail services from 6th September. They are continuing to recover from the disruption of the last 18 months, but staff levels are being affected by the pandemic.
In order to prioritise rush hour and school trains, our train service will go down to one train an hour in the middle of the day for the time being.
Customers are asked to plan their journeys at www.nationalrail.co.uk, where the changes will be shown from 28th August. The timetable will be reviewed in December 2021.
Cambridge to King’s Cross
Two stopping trains per hour will run between Cambridge and King’s Cross during school and busy times. During the middle of the day, one of these trains per hour will not run between Cambridge and Royston, meaning an hourly service at Foxton, Shepreth and Meldreth outside of busy times.
For more information, here is the full text of the message:
Best wishes,
Susan & Sarah
