The ‘All round good egg’ Community Award for 2025 was presented to Julian Ireland – he shows up for the wider community again and again.

Last year he enabled the Council to reinstate a vandalised seating shelter in Melbourn – donating time, expertise and materials to get it back to as good as new.

The national Government is considering a new system of local government for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. This will mean replacing multiple layers of councils with one or more larger councils.

Local councils are working together to explore options – and want to hear from you.
